Steve Ashley, South Brent Folk's headline concert act from 2013 is back in Devon

Steve has been described as one of the finest singer-songwriters in Britain, if not the entire English speaking world with a great voice and dry ‘stage rap’. A member of the original Albion Country Band line-up, his songs have been covered by an ever-growing list of artists, notably Fairport Convention, Anne Briggs, Dave Pegg, O'Hooley & Tidow and Phil Beer (if you have heard Phil Beer sing Fire and Wine and wondered who wrote it, look no further). Solo albums include the award-winning 1974 classic folk-rock album, ‘Stroll On’ and ‘Time and Tide’, which was summed up in fROOTS as ‘a modern day masterpiece’. His recent albums 'This little Game' and 'Another Day' have also received critical acclaim. Listen to the title track of 'Another Day' with a video for Jeremy Corbyn. See www.steveashley.co.uk
