South Brent Folk Day 2018 on Saturday 7 July was a lovely event with ‘Green Willow Clog Dancers’ and ‘Newton Bushel Morris’ dancing in glorious sunshine, while Nigel Roberts, busked on hurdy-gurdy and fiddle in the village centre.
Despite the clash with England’s quarter final match, the afternoon concert with Owly Dave & Whistling Paddy; Roger Smith and Foxen was well attended and much enjoyed.
Unfortunately there were no entries for this year’s poetry competition.
The evening concert with Bill Murray, Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll and Ange Hardy provided a varied mix of high quality performances with something for everybody.
Thanks to all the performers, helpers and audiences for making another memorable South Brent Folk Day.
