South Brent Folk is planning a programme of live events for 2026.

  • Saturday 26 October 2026: Autumn Ceilidh organised by South Brent Folk at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) in South Brent Village Hall, with Ashburton Community Folk Orchestra led by David Faulkner. Ashburton Community Folk Orchestra are a 30 plus strong group of musicians playing music from Dartmoor, the SouthWest, Europe and beyond! Raffle.   • Sunday 27 December 2026: South Brent Folk’s Twixt and Between’ Christmas and New Year Céilidh in South Brent Village Hall at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm). Chill out and enjoy the music after the Christmas festivities or dance your (new) socks off with ‘The Offshoot Band. ‘The Offshoot Band’ (from Spinach for Norman) will comprise:- Ben van Weede (fiddle); Steve Verge (guitar); Tim Walker (bass); with caller and fiddle player Kip Pratt. There is a ‘Third Thursday Tunes':traditional music session on the 3rd Thursday of the month, in the Packhorse Inn, hosted by Steve Dart at 8pm. See Facebook.

 

There is a regular (more or less weekly) informal music session usually on Wednesdays at the Packhorse Inn, South Brent. Mainly acoustic pop/rock/blues and folk (contemporary or traditional). 'Folk on the Moor' folk club is weekly on Sundays (except August) at the Moorland Hotel, Wotter PL7 5HP - see below and www.moorfolk.co.uk/.
