After 18 years and eight solo albums Jackie Oates is a central figure in the accomplished, informed and stylistically individual English traditional music scene that began in the early 2000s and continues to thrive with her being regarded as one of the country’s best loved folk performers. With the release of her 8th studio album, ‘Gracious Wings’, her current focus is on collaborating with a diverse array of artists and commissions and she performs here with her regular collaborator, local multi-instrumentalist Mike Cosgrave.. Jackie lived and studied in Devon for some years and has performed several concerts in South Brent and stepped in as leader for South Brent’s ‘Wild Harmony’ on several occasions in 2008-10.
