South Brent Folk has planned a programme of live events for 2025:
· Saturday 5 April 2025: Maggie Duffy with Bob Thomson in the Old School Community Centre at 7pm. Wonderful Brixham-based singer, songwriter and poet, Maggie Duffy, and her long-time collaborator, guitarist Bob Thomson, draw from a varied repertoire of songs and stories. · Saturday 11 October 2025: Autumn Ceilidh with the Ashburton Community Folk Orchestra with leader and caller David Faulkner,
· Saturday 8 November 2025: ‘Rising Voices: Songs of Struggle and Survival’ - an evening with Sam Richards and Martin Scragg
· Saturday 27th December 2025: the annual ‘Twixt and Between’ ceilidh with The Offshoot Band (from ‘Spinach for Norman’)

There is a ‘Third Thursday Tunes’: traditional muic session on the 3rd Thursday of the month, in the Packhorse Inn, co-hosted by Steve Dart and Mick Bramich at 8pm. See Facebook.
There is a regular (more or less weekly) informal music session at the Packhorse Inn, South Brent. Mainly acoustic pop/rock/blues and folk (contemporary or traditional). 'Folk on the Moor' folk club is weekly on Sundays (except August) at the Moorland Hotel, Wotter PL7 5HP - see below and www.moorfolk.co.uk/.
Totnes Folk Club is monthly on the 2nd Thursday in the month, upstairs in the Dartmouth Inn, Totnes, TQ9 5EL. It reopened from Thursday 13 March 2025 following changes in the pub's management. - see https://www.facebook.com/groups/144387085754131
